An enthusiastic, sometimes sarcastic, energetic voice, that’s perfect for commercial, narration, and character work.

Merete is a co-founder of Lengthy Tangent LLC., an audio fiction production house. She is an actor, producer, production coordinator, sound editor, and writer for the award winning, debut audio fiction, Peculiar Radio and Lengthy Tangent’s third podcast series, The Collection of Moira Graves. Merete started her own podcast series, Theme Party: the podcast to give members of the Lengthy Tangent team an avenue to grow and develop their voiceover and podcast related skills.

Merete regularly attends improv workshops and weekly script reads, where participants perform a variety of scripts, and practice giving and getting feedback. As a patron of the voiceover group, LTM (organized by Lindsay Fawn, Tyler Hyrchuk, and Max Gallo), she has participated in workshops with industry professionals, including some with: Bev Standing, Lau Lapides, Sarah Nightingale, Susan Hart, Nik Sliwerski, Bryn McAuley, and Sebastien Croteau.

Since 2019, Merete has narrated more than 24 audiobooks and logged hundreds of volunteer hours for ABLE (Audio & Braille Literacy Enhancement). She has also recorded accessible audio books for DV Canada (Described Video Canada).

In 2021 she began performing with The Online Stage, an organization that produces multi-cast audio plays. Merete has been a part of several productions, including Emily of New Moon, Daisy Miller, Vanity Fair, and more.

Merete also has experience with dubbing both cartoons and live action videos.

Outside of voiceover, Merete is a wife and a mother of two. In her spare time, she loves gardening (badly, because she also loves the wildlife that visits her garden), several forms of crafting (ask her about the creepiest thing she’s made - it wasn’t creepy on purpose), and conquering new recipes in the kitchen. (Every year for the holidays, she makes macarons to hand out as gifts to friends and family. The count was over 1,600 in 2025!)
